OnePlus 7 Pro gets OxygenOS 9.5.8 update. The OxygenOS 9.5.8 update brings optimized touch sensitivity for the screen, May 2019 Android Security patch, and improved audio quality, etc. The audio improvement comes in call quality, some of the general bug fixed as well with this update. Based on the users’ feedback, OnePlus also fixed the selfie pop-up camera opening issue during the video call.
Additionally, Google has also updated the ARCore compatible device list. It will highlight that new OnePlus devices support ARCore functionality. The ARCore brings advanced augmented reality things to the device via software program. So, users can feel the augmented reality experience on their devices via AR/VR headsets.

The new OOS 9.5.8 update is rolling out on OnePlus 7 Pro devices via OTA. However, as always, the update is in staged mode and will take some time to roll out globally. According to the changelog, the OnePlus 7 Pro now gets optimized touch sensitivity issue, fixed compatibility issue for third-party Type-C headphones, etc. Most importantly, the OP 7 Pro gets updated May 2019 Android Security Patch level which ensures privacy.

According to the reports, the OxygenOS 9.5.8 update for OnePlus 7 Pro is around 109MB in size.
OnePlus team has also mentioned that they will provide support for video recording using OnePlus 7 Pro’s ultra-wide-camera, ability to see more apps when accessing recent apps menu, etc. The upcoming updates will also bring charging tone, ability to block messages by specific keyword, and call blocking support.
OnePlus is also working on adaptive icons in OxygenOS and want to deliver the ability to customize the duration of Zen Mode. Though there is no confirmation yet about the update releases by the company.
