Sony Xperia Ace launched with Snapdragon 630 SoC, Android 9 Pie, and more

Sony Mobile has launched a new smartphone in Japan named the Sony Xperia Ace. This is an affordable compact smartphone comes with decent specifications out-of-the-box. Another smartphone launched along with this device called Sony Xperia 1. The new Xperia Ace has a Full-HD+ Triluminos LCD display, front-firing stereo speakers, etc. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and supports High-Res audio. While on the other side, the Xperia 1 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC which was unveiled at MWC 2019.

Sony Xperia Ace Specifications

Sony Xperia Ace sports a 5-inch FHD+ Triluminos LCD display with a resolution of 1080 × 2160 px and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is a 64GB of internal storage which can be expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB.

The smartphone offers a single 12MP primary rear camera (f/1.8) with Exmor R sensor. It also features hybrid stabilization which is combined with OIS + EIS. On the front side, it sports an 8MP selfie shooter with a wide 120-degree field-of-view sensor.

The Xperia Ace runs on stock Android 9.0 Pie preloaded. The Sony Xperia Ace featured with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor placed on the power button. It has IPX5/ IPX8 water and dust resistance certification. The dual-SIM device supports 4G VoLTE. The phone includes Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C, etc. The phone packed with a smaller 2,700 mAh battery. The handset measures 140 x 67 x 9.3mm and weighs around 154 grams.

Sony Xperia Ace Price and Availability

The Xperia Ace comes with a starting price of JPY 48,600 (Rs.31,000 approx) and will go on sale from 1st June via the Japanese operator NTT Docomo. The Sony Xperia 1 comes at a price of JPY 103,032 (Rs.65,800 approx) and will go on sale in mid-June this year. There is no confirmation about the availability in India. We have to wait for a few weeks more.
